Happy Easter!

How different it is to have a one-week old baby for Easter. We went out the day before to try to find the perfect easter outfit for Sophie and something matching for Sierra. While at the Supermall we saw the Easter Bunny and couldn't pass up the opportunity to have the girls' picture taken with him. (How wierd is it for me to be refering to them as "the girls"?) The picture turned out so adorable!

The next challenge was trying to figure out what the Easter Bunny would bring for Sophie's easter basket. He figured out that a stuffed animal and the movie "Enchanted" would be good. I think Sophie appreciated it.

Sierra's easter basket had a basketball theme - the Easter Bunny knows her well.

Sierra was really excited to match her sister for church.

After church we went to Grammy and Pa's house for dinner and an easter egg hunt. Sophie was a little too tired to participate, but Sierra had fun.

IT'S A GIRL!

We welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Sophie Linn Sandstrom on St. Patrick's Day at 8:56 pm. She weighed in at 8 pounds-5 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long. We came home from the hospital Tuesday evening and except for a sleepless night we're doing really well. Here are a bunch of pictures... enjoy.

Clarinet Prodigies?

So, when I got home today, Sierra and her friend, Jessica, were here practicing their clarinets. I was on the phone with Stephanie and she said she'd never heard Sierra play, so we got out the video camera and captured a few duets. Both of the girls are in the 5th grade band together and sound pretty good together. Thought you like to hear their beautiful music...

Basketball Game

Sierra's game this morning was more exciting than most. She scored half of their 8 points. Of course the other team came away with 22, but Sierra's team played very well. If only they were taller....

Here are a couple videos of her shots. In the first you see her get the ball, shoot, get fouled, but the shot went in anyways. She got one free throw. In the second video, she had been fouled and it shows her free throws for that shot.
